- Sound reduction above 50dB
- Custom dimensions with optional casters for mobility
- Demountable and reusable
The Soundproof Room is an isolating test enclosure engineered for manufacturing floors that carry their own test requirements, creating a compact quiet room through carefully designed internal absorption. A typical unit measures approximately 2000 by 2000 by 2000mm externally and 1700 by 1700 by 1800mm internally, with a noise floor of 20 to 40dB(A) and sound reduction above 50dB.
The room employs a four layer approach: a single or double skin hollow isolating shell, a floating vibration damped structure, a ventilation silencing system and acoustic doors and windows. Together these balance isolation performance, cooling airflow and convenient operator access. Dimensions are made to order, casters may be fitted for mobility, and the complete unit can be disassembled and reused.
Soundproof rooms are used primarily for rapid simulated acoustic testing of automotive electronics, electromechanical, home appliance and telecommunications products, and are particularly well suited to motors, audio devices and transformers. This solution has been adopted by leading international enterprises such as Philips, Bosch, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Omron.
