Sound Enclosure
Encloses noisy equipment to block its sound, delivering 20 to 40dB of isolation, quick to assemble and suited to a wide range of industrial machines.
Specifications
| Isolation | 20 to 40dB |

| Shell material | 2 to 3mm steel, aluminum or stainless |
A sound enclosure seals off noisy equipment and blocks the spread of its sound, with isolation that reaches 20 to 40dB. The shell is built from airtight metal, usually 2 to 3mm steel plate with a damping layer, and can be made from aluminum or stainless steel where the job calls for it.
The enclosure assembles and comes apart quickly, with the inner and outer surfaces handling absorption and isolation in turn. Acoustic doors and windows can be added, along with monitoring and control systems for temperature, airflow, fire and gas. The body is waterproof, resists moisture and stands up to ultraviolet light, so it serves well indoors or outdoors over the long term.
Sound enclosures suit machine tools such as presses and milling machines, power equipment such as air compressors, fans and pumps, and heavy plant such as blowers, generators, transformers and crushers. They are also used to quiet outdoor air conditioning units and workshop offices.
