The silent box holds test equipment such as an artificial mouth, artificial ear, head and torso simulator or sound level meter, and is used to test and tune products so that components pass their audio tests cleanly. It is small and easy to move, which makes it ideal for the audio testing of small motors, small to medium appliances, speakers and mobile phones.

Two structures are offered. The wedge box measures roughly 1100 by 1100 by 1200mm on the outside and about 600 by 600 by 600mm inside, with a noise floor within 25dB, isolation of around 50dB and a 400Hz cut off frequency. Its high accuracy and strong absorption suit laboratories that demand precise results. The flat panel box measures about 800 by 800 by 800mm, stays below 70dB outside and below 35dB(A) inside, and pairs a clever absorbing and isolating layer with a small footprint, easy operation and an economical price.

We also build automatic flip lid and drawer style versions for in line production testing, which connect to the conveyor for fast and automated batch audio inspection.
