Silent Box and Anechoic Box

The Silent Box houses test equipment such as an artificial mouth, artificial ear, head and torso simulator or sound level meter, and is used to test and tune products so that components pass their audio tests reliably. Compact and readily portable, it is well suited to the audio testing of small motors, small to medium appliances, loudspeakers and mobile phones.

Two configurations are available. The wedge box measures approximately 1100 by 1100 by 1200mm externally and approximately 600 by 600 by 600mm internally, with a noise floor within 25dB, isolation of approximately 50dB and a cut off frequency of 400Hz. Its high accuracy and strong absorption suit laboratories that require precise results. The flat panel box measures approximately 800 by 800 by 800mm, maintains below 70dB externally and below 35dB(A) internally, and combines a distinctive absorbing and isolating layer with a compact footprint, convenient operation and an economical cost.

Anteck also manufactures automatic flip lid and drawer style versions for in line production testing, which interface with the conveyor for rapid and automated batch audio inspection.
