On Site Chamber Construction
On site construction of an anechoic chamber, assembling the shell and absorptive walls layer by layer so that the isolation and free field targets are met.
Project Highlights
- Layer by layer assembly under tight control
- Walls, openings and isolation joints checked
- Acceptance against key acoustic figures
In the end, the performance of an anechoic chamber comes down to the precision of the work on site. This photo records the shell assembly stage, where the isolating wall panels are fitted one by one and the joints are sealed, which lays the groundwork for the absorptive wedges and panels that follow.
Our build team works to one consistent standard, checking wall flatness, door and window sealing and every isolation joint in turn. Once construction is finished, the room is accepted against key figures such as free field deviation and noise floor, so that the laboratory meets what the design called for.
